The Bible tells us over and over (365 times) that God says “Do not be afraid, or “Fear not!” But Proverbs 1:7 tells us that “Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 1:7. The difference is that the word fear in Proverbs 1:7 means to now down reverently and worship, and the other word means to be afraid and to cower. Very different.

When we have reverent see for Hod and worship Him, He gives us power over fear. He gives us the sword of His word to fight the enemy and He fills us with His Holy Spirit to help us every step of the way!
