We all rely on something. Too often it is something within ourselves, something we think we have mastery over - like our own physical or mental strength, intelligence, beauty, wealth, achievements, friends or family members. But all of that is like a vapor, any of things could be gone in an instant.
Some of us are “faith people” and we believe our faith can see us through anything that comes our way. This isn’t bad, unless our faith is in the power of our faith instead of in our Sovereign God and Father. The one who doesn’t have to explain things to us for us to continue to believe. The God whose ways are higher than ours and whose thoughts we can’t comprehend. It’s HIS strength that we must lean on and trust in, not our own.
