If I’m not experiencing God’s perfect peace, then I’m not trusting Him like I should. When I fix my thoughts on God, it’s like it opens a conduit between us and I can hear Him more clearly.
Even in the worst circumstances, when my son was in critical condition, I was able to fix my thoughts on God and He gave me perfect peace. He told me that my son would live and not die and declare the works of the Lord - and that is exactly what happened.
I can think of other times that I didn’t fix my thoughts on Him, and peace did not reign in those circumstances. Lesson learned - I hope!
