God knows how important our thought-life is. This is where we make our plans, hatch our schemes, and mull over our emotions. Things can go very right or skew terribly sideways in our minds. This is why God gave us the power and ability to “take every thought captive” to the word of God. And He tells us what to think about instead - he isn’t trying to deny the reality in the world around us, but reminding us of the TRUTH! The reality of life with Him and with His Kingdom. That should be our focus, eternal things, not what is temporary.
