Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart and in your church because you are called to peace. You’re not called by God to a political party or to a candidate. ”Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.“ Romans 13:1 in fact, you ARE called to be obedient to, and even to honor, the government even when you don’t like or agree with them.
You’re not called by God to a particular pastor or teacher - unless you’re called to be someone’s Timothy. I do believe that the Lord does call us to particular churches to serve and be a member of that body if Christ, though. The Lord moves us in and out of churches for His purposes and plans, not just because we “like” or don’t like someone’s preaching or worship band.
The Lord is not expecting you to tolerate abuse from leaders in the church though. “My dear brothers and sisters, don’t be so eager to become a teacher in the church since you know that we who teach are held to a higher standard of judgment. We all fail in many areas, but especially with our words.” James 3:1-2 These leaders are humans who fail, but if they are hurting their flock, they will be held accountable for that!
