This deep desire drives so many of our choices. Often these choices don’t lead where we think they will. We choose relationships that end up breaking our hearts because our expectations are too high. We want Jesus-level love from human beings and they will never live up to that standard - even if they love you with all their heart! Choose relationships that are steeped in Godliness. When you do this, your expectations are on God instead of the other person. It helps you work through disappointments and misunderstandings with grace and compassion instead of a place of selfishness.
