Habits can be good and they can be bad, some habits aren’t actually either good or bad, they’re just a tool to accomplish a goal - like a morning routine which helps you to remember to do all the things you need to without having to exert a lot of mental energy.
Those bad habits though, some are obvious and some not so much. When the habit prevents you from reaching goals, good health or pursuing your calling and purpose, it is bad. Maybe it’s ok if you do it less often, but it can’t be more important than what is most important. Some of these habits start off good, but become bad - our human nature is selfish and the devil will always try to pull us in this direction. We all need “downtime,” but the downtime can’t be allowed to replace our productivity.
So let’s work on new habits - ones that help us reach our goals, fulfill our callings and improve our mental and physical health. Habits of prayer time, reading the Bible and serving others should be in the mix too. #healthyhabits #discipleship #createdonpurposeforapurpose #shalom #yourjourneytobeingwhole #dailydevotional @justinwhitmelearley
