We all go through barren stretches. These aren’t times when God is far away or has forgotten us - it’s actually the contrary! God calls everyone into the wilderness so that they can grow closer to Him. Think of Abraham, Jacob, Elijah, and JESUS. If they needed it, then we do too!
This is a picture I took outside of Jerusalem of the Wilderness. This is the same barren stretch that Jesus went to - as you can see, there is nothing there. When you feel abandoned remember that you’re NOT alone. The Lord is with you. Listen to Him there.
