Waiting in hope is something God has called all of us to do, and to do joyfully. How’s that going for you? Do you tend to be more optimistic or more cynical or pessimistic? What does the Bible say about that?

The Lord tells us to be full of hope while we wait for His direction and His action. And, while we wait in hope, we are supposed to be actively doing the things God has already given us to do - like parenting, being a reliable and productive employee, leading with grace and truth, caring for an elder, etc.. if you struggle to walk through your day with hope (or joyful hope), then ask God to give you an extra measure, ask for His help. He likes it when you ask Him for help with a humble spirit that is recognizing that His ways are higher and better than ours.
