There is a saying that I hear frequently, “When God closes a door, He opens a window” or even this one that is really a quote from Alexander Graham Bell. The interesting thing is, neither are found in the Bible. God did not say this. God DID say:
“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
Some of those closed doors are lost relationships that God has rescued you from. He knows what you don’t. He will be faithful to protect you and guide you to the path He has prepared for you. So stop looking at back at the past and look forward towards the good future God has for you!
