Storms in life will come, some from the weather and some from circumstances or other people. They may leave damage in their wake, but that doesn’t mean that God isn’t with you or that He is the one who sent the storm. It’s just because we live in a broken world with broken people.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
I agree with Corrie Ten Boom, sometimes you need to feel the storm so that you learn to cling to God. I’ve experienced this - the key is not letting go of Him when the storm passes. Seek the Lord, lean on Him, worship Him and praise Him everyday. Then, when the storms come as they surely will, you won’t be shaken.
“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.”
Psalms 62:1-2
