I think that most of us want a word from the Lord - we long to hear His voice to lead us and guide us - we just want it without the parenting that comes with it. That’s why we don’t open our Bible as much as we need to… or we only open it when it’s for someone else or at church…
The Bible can see through all of our smoke screens and masks. “Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
