Knowing that you need God and actually getting on your knees aren’t the same thing. For it is when you bow down, worship, adore and submit that your need goes from an acknowledgement in your mind to an action in your heart. “The Lord sees the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)
We wonder why bad things happen - especially to good people. Sometimes the events produce great fruit because they get us on our knees and God is faithful to answer our prayers in a way that is best for us. Sometimes God needs something to die in order to produce a great harvest - oftentimes that something is pride. Pride is everywhere and can pop up when you least expect it. Ask the lord to reveal to you areas where your pride is getting in the way of what He wants to do.
