What we do and how we do it represents Jesus. They can experience His mercy and grace through us if we are walking in the Spirit and are BEing who He called us to be. Our humanity will try to get in the way, but the more we choose love and choose God, the easier it is to recognize and reject selfishness.

I’m not talking about being healthy and taking care of yourself, I’m talking about thinking more highly of yourself than you should. We are to love others as we love ourselves - kindly, humbly, serving one another. So, today when someone disappoints, offends or hurts you - respond in the presence of the Lord - because you are. He is with you! #theywillknowusbyourlove #BEthechurch @johnstephenpiper #discipleship #christianliving #yourjourneytobeingwhole #shalom #dailydevotional
