Time for His Will

A continuation of yesterday’s post… our God will accomplish what He wills in spite and despite anything that you or I do. We can choose not to participate, but that is foolish. Following our own hearts is also foolish. I’ve done that, and in my mind I reasoned it out and justified my choices, but I wasn’t on course. By His grace, He corrected me and I repented and stopped trying to control my own destiny. Once you’re a child of God, your destiny is God’s will.

His plan and purposes are always better than our own. Why do we struggle with that? It’s mostly because we’re impatient. Like a child who sees a present wrapped under the tree for weeks, we want to open it NOW, or at least see it. The Lord is a good, good Father and He is infinitely patient as He teaches us to be patient and in tune with His will. It’s worth it!
