This verse is gold! How do you use your words? Do you lift up, or tear down? Are you helpful, or do you just restate the problems or remind others of their shortcomings? Do you repeat hurtful things or do you build bridges of forgiveness. Do you shout at people?
Controlling our mouths is difficult. Our emotions and our adrenaline can easily take over and wreck havoc over others, especially people we care about. Only Jesus can help us with this. He is more than able to give us a spirit of self control. If we turn to Him and let Him help us that is, we can’t let our pride get in the way.
