This is a sobering thought. Our culture teaches us to value self-realization and independence, but God’s economy is different. We value Him and His community as much as we value ourselves. In God’s economy, we are all His children, interdependent, and woven together like fabric. God designed us to need each other and to be connected.
What we do, matters. God has chosen each one of us specifically and called us to do things that are strategic to the big picture and, often to a single individual. Sometimes we get to know what impact we’ve had for someone - but sometimes we don’t...until we meet in Heaven.
