Waiting is one of those activities no one really likes, but all must do. I know some people who avoid it like the plague - choosing not to make a purchase or eat in their favorite restaurant because there is a line. Sometimes they really don’t have the time to wait, but usually it’s just because they are impatient.
God require us to wait all the time. His blessings and promises are sure and will surely come, but we don’t know when. Our obedience to His call and to love extravagantly always involve risk and uncertainty. We will have times of doubt, when fear creeps in and tries to overtake our faith.
